Halifax is divided into the North End, South End, and West End. The post-secondary institutions are mostly located in Halifax.

When you're looking for a place to live, other than finding a place close to your university, consider the following: transportation, walk-in clinics, grocery stores, etc. If you have children, consider the location of daycares and schools.

Required information when signing a lease:

  • First and last names of all of the tenants on the lease

  • Names of other people/children who will be living there (occupants)

  • Phone number (home & business/other)

  • Emergency contact information (name, phone number, address, postal code) 

  • Payment method (post-dated cheques or direct withdrawals)
